Juan Opertti, is a Mechanical Industrial Engineer, graduated from UDELAR, with a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from UCUDAL in agreement with St. Thomas University (USA), with an emphasis on International Business and Marketing. During the period 1997 – 1998 he developed an executive training in Supply Chain (Supply Chain), Logistics and Ports at Katoen Natie in Antwerp, Belgium. He has held supervisory and managerial positions in the metallurgical, oil, and textile industries, focusing from 1998 to date on the subject of Free Trade Zones, Logistics, and Operations. Today he is Director of Logistics for South America of the Belgian group Katoen Natie, a company with 15,000 employees present in 30 countries with port terminals and logistics platforms. Juan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Logistics company that uses Zona Franca Costa Oriental S.A. based in Zonamerica, representing the Katoen Natie Group. In the union area, Juan served as Executive Director of the Chamber of Free Zones of Uruguay (CZFUY) from 2008 to 2014 and to date is the Coordinator of Institutional Relations of CZFUY. To date he is a Director of the National Institute of Logistics INALOG. He is a Managing Partner since 2008 of the consultancies Hemistion www.hemistion.com and OPERAL Ingeniería Logística www.operal.com.uy. Member of the WFZO, AZFA and CZFUY. Member of the Board of Directors of the WFZO (World Organization of ZZFF) 2019 - 2022 and of the Board of Directors of AZFA 2022 - 2024.
Diego Albanell is an Industrial Engineer, graduated from the University of Montevideo. He is a founding partner of the Operal consultancy (www.operal.com.uy). He is currently a management advisor at Confiteria Carrera (www.carrera.com.uy) Diego has held supervisory and managerial positions in operations and logistics, as well as managing companies in other industries. He was General Manager of Costa Logística, a logistics operator belonging to the Costa Oriental group with more than 15,000m2 and a staff of 100 people. As of today, he is the director of Operal, a consultancy focused on operations and logistics with an emphasis on Logistics Optimization Plans, design of distribution centers, industrial and logistics parks, Free Zones, ports, airports in Uruguay and abroad. He is also the director of Cartridge World for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, a world leader in ink and laser cartridges for printers. Academically, he is a professor of Operations and Logistics at the University of Montevideo in national and international postgraduate courses at said University, as well as a professor at the Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and a speaker at the Pan-American Logistics Conference in Colombia.
